The falling through of schemes you made to change your life Offends you like the one who stabs then turns the knife Your feet feel like they're giving up the will to step But listen to the voice that says 'just one more rep' There's water at the bottom of that wishing well That's worth it for the journey you must make through hell So don't discard your hope, you're faith don't ever sell How deep you still must dig now now only time will tell. When you lay your head down at night And everything you planned for now won't see the light When all the hopes that you made before Slip away like waves retracting from the shore Like a dead end on the pathway through the darkest wood Or a battlefield once was solid now just mud After all the precious things you sacrificed To load the weights before you roll your lucky dice. The only way to make your old axe sharp again Is to turn your head towards the very source of pain Though taunted by the thing that's just outside your reach Don't give way to anger it will truly leach Don't be afraid to ask the universe for more Sometimes heaven comes to earth to open doors Sometimes it's a case of waiting for the rain Sometimes all you have to do is use your brain You'll give yourself the strength to find a brighter way Believing that you're on the path to better days Pick up your eyes and tilt your head to face the sky Accept the darkness in your soul is just a lie. And when you realise that patients is your friend All that worry in your mind will reach an end You'll lift those shoulders up and back ; your chin will rise Then you'll know the prophesies of doom were lies.

Steve Irwin 03:59
If I came to the outback to find you Would you teach me how to catch a snake and let it go And will you teach me everything you know about being cool And would you tell me stories of what you were like in school I believe that I love you Steve And I believe that I'll meet you Steve You catch endangered species with artist precision One day you'll be real and not just in my television And will you teach me everything you know about being cool And would you tell me stories of what you were like in school I believe that I love you Steve And I believe that I'll meet you Steve Your spirit's like a flame that passes from one to another Your thirst for life you give to all your sisters and your brothers So will you teach me everything you know about being cool And will you tell me stories of what you were like in school I believe that I love you Steve And I believe that I'll meet you Steve I believe that you'll greet me Steve

You are You 02:03
Don't worry you know that it's not the end And I will always be your friend And you know that it's probably for the best 'Cuz I think that you're better than all the rest 'Cuz you're you, you, you You are you, you, you And it's the you I love to see each day And it's the you you know that I would not chage And wherever you may go Just remember to let it show That you are you...

Bravery, tenacity these things are gone Credulity, conformity and cowardice have won Narratives of fear we need to feel assured Common folk before they long and hard endured Up the chimneys down the mines though it was hard Eggs and bacon soaked and fried in pans of lard Yet nearly everyone in frames of black and white Looked like they were guaranteed to win the fight Just today a thought perplexed and struck at me That all the little children through the ages seem To be the same as those before them could it be The truth to which we cling is just a fallacy Progress though we've made is still a distant dream Greater from the ends the gap of in-betweens And lost within the loud voice of minority Resounds the voice of the silent majority What we need to do is shift the entire wave The highest highs and lowest lows to which we're slaves Up beyond the average zero grounded state From history we'll learn so please don't wipe the slate Keep the artefacts and learn the battle plans From every victory and failure that damned Us to the world that was our mere inheritance The good aspects to which we owe our recompense The bad sides though they seem to us innumerable Communication clear makes us manoeuvrable As a single body that's the way we'll move Always relay never delay news to prove That victory against the odds is ours through choice When all are granted their own turn to share their voice While twice the quantity of ears turn to hear The law of truly large numbers will guide and steer When all the guesses totalled up and then the mean The average value of the data places clean Around the correct answer close enough to lean Direct upon the arrow pointing to the dream Of all humanity the focus of our race From Earth, our galaxy, and from the whole of Space And taking in the whole of what we know as time Greater is the intellect of the collective mind

I'd give up my last ounce of courage Sacrifice all that I have Lay down my only possession For the pleasure of holding your hand I'd do what it takes to be with you Die for the love in your heart Bleed from the wounds of a love so pure For the flower of joy that you are You don't talk with pride or with envy Nothing about you is bad Like water to the thirsty And sanity to the mad I'd love to hold you forever To kiss you and look at your face Made with oh so much beauty And such love and such grace You are my kind of woman The kind that can sing and can dance So end my lonely survival By starting a loving romance Mine is not the decision You are the one to decide If I am to keep running Or if into your arms I can hide

Hello, Heylo 02:53
You know I didn't really need another friend Or an extra plate for a dinner date Or an ear to lend never lonely Walking to the door To be alone when I got home To take myself out for a roam I couldn't ask for more On my own my I set the tone for my quiet soul little did I know into my life you'd stroll And find a door I never knew was there In that natural breeze beneath the tree We had the stare You're a beautiful woman There is no ploy just the deepest joy for my soul You're a beautiful woman You touch my soul with a love worth more than gold I didn't need to impress you with wine and food to take you home, to call my own, Just to end some mood We are walking on such solid solid ground When we take things slow we can watch love grow Love is beyond what we know Now that me you've found Before me met I was quite content and I didn't know That all I had to do was say heylo, Heylo The truth is all we have to say It's the peace like that That binds us on life's way

I must go You must stay But you have helped Me all the way I will keep With me each day The light of joy To me you gave The light of joy Will always Shine for tomorrow Shine on my sorrow You on the inside I can see And you bring me peace Just with your company Through the pleasure Through the strife Your smile brightend Up my life Of everyone I'll put you first On my best day And on my worst In every way You'll always Shine for tomorrow Shine on my sorrow You on the inside I can see And you bring me peace Just with your company

I wonder just how long it took On that grave morning of bad luck The final scene of this life's book I wonder just how long it took I wonder if you thought of me Our friends , the zoo, our band, the sea Our words the laughs the cups of tea I wonder if you thought of me If I could count the lives you've changed And every frown you rearranged And all the laughter you arranged If I could count the lives you changed I hope somewhere within the pain And panic as you felt life drain You smiled at least just once again I hope somewhere within the pain If I could see what I'd have been Without those strides you made with me The brightest smile I've ever seen If I could see what I've had been. I wonder what I would have done The endless days and nights of fun Your spirit shining like the sun I wonder what I would have done I hope you knew how much you meant Not just for all the time we spent And all the messages we sent I hope you knew how much you meant For all your wisdom joy and peace The grace my heart you made release The faith that life is only leased For all the wisdom joy and peace I'd like to think you thought of me Before you made your way to peace Cobain, Lennon, your Dad to see Your kindred souls to name just three. Had you'd have known at 24 That you'd be knocking on God's door I don't think you could have done more For other souls by 24

Just because the sun, is shining Doesn't mean your heart, is smiling Enemies you don't, have any Dark reflections oh, so many Your clothes are smart your bo,dy's healthy Fridge is full so you, are wealthy Your family's the best, your friends are plenty But in your heart you're fee, ling empty So walk with me and talk with me I'll help you shine again Your head is used to solve, equations Your eyes and ears are used, for observations Sing with all your heartfelt intonation Use these tools for mental elevation. Don't accept the world, outside you Controls all of that fire, inside you Keep passing on the flame, as you do, The only light that guides, the way through So walk with me and talk with me I'll help you start again So when you're down and feeling tired Don't forget that life, is only hired Life is short we all slow,ly fade out Again the sun comes up we don't doubt Bless the lineage that made you Reconnect with friends, who've stayed true Thank the Earth for each, rotation Then give life your own, creation

Lineage 04:36
It's not about being blindly proud of who and what you are But being thankful for you never thought you'd get this far And looking back from here and now you wouldn't change a thing: Heal a wound; un-break a bone; restore a dying bird to wing All the roads you walked before the way that led you here Have all been worth the wait; the grace; the pain; the blood and sweat and tears The disappointed, disaffected thoughts in lonely beds That broken heart and devastated life that echos round your head If you could count each tear that fell to give to you your here and now A tapestry so intricate the only way our lives allow Instead you'd stand with heavy arms that carry all somehow All the confused history of hands that never left the plough When you look into the mirror at your bonny face Remember that beneath the skin there lies at least million ways That smiles were shattered; anger bred and dreams were thrown away All so that for you the sun would rise on this particular day Thank your parents thank your grans and granddads for a start Then thank the genes that make you think and feel and beat your heart They made you so unique and special such a bespoke part Infinitely cosmological as so you know you are Every word within your DNA's four letter alphabet Lengthy messages of forbears' pride and stories of regret Is spelled by taking all the paths they made with all their steps Their words are gone but what remains are feelings you cannot forget When everything that makes you who you are is working all as one That's when you know that all the spirits of your ancestors live on Within your mind and face and hands and voice though they are gone Remember in their days just like you now back then on Earth they shone They live still now in their murmurations through all space and time Their lives on Earth at least the inverse square law never stops their shine Their smiles and laughter and their wisdom transmit to your mind With heavy burdens rarely could they truly relax and unwind When the story of your life is over and you sleep in peace Or dream the greatest dream you ever dreamt when your blood flow has ceased Or in a way that we can't think your soul becomes released Perhaps you'll meet the ones who made your life and gave steps to your feet You'll shake their hands and hug and hold them close at them you'll stare And then you'll see each part of you that made you so unique and rare Then you'll understand the reasons why you worked for what you cared And know how what you won in life was that for which you loved and dared
12.
To my bonnie lass in Scotland Oh how I love you so But I cannot wed you darling You were born too long ago And you've children there already They are not my own They've come from another With whom you made a home But your nothing but an angel In nature and in name But I cannot wed you darling Till we die and meet again Your love for me is real My love for you is too You send to me fine clothing And expensive leather boots But I hear you daughter calling Asking for her Mom So I'll leave with you my tender kiss But I'll take with me my heart But your nothing but an angel In nature and in name But I cannot wed you darling Till we die and meet again

Stand by You 01:11
I hope you'll always stand by me When the weather gets cold When you're feeling old I hope you'll always stand by me If you're feeling used And your heart feels bruised And joy is far from you So won't you stand by me When you're feeling old When the weather gets cold When you're feeling oh oh oh so blue I'll be waiting for you Come shining through Your pain my friend So won't you stand by me When the weather gets cold When your're feeling old When your're feeling used I'll always stand by you.

London Girl 00:59
I had a girl as sweet as honey Lived in London made lots of money But London girl just ain't the one for me She loves the city I love the sea She might be pretty but she ain't the one for me You'll find me smiling when she's not around She ain't kind But I don't mind She ain't the one for me She tells me that my life is empty The time she hurts my heart are plenty So London girl go get away from me I like being cheeky But she's such a prude I got good manners But she's just plain old rude She loves the city I love the sea She loves to talk I'd rather walk She ain't the one for me

My Shoes 01:51
Maybe it's because I love you Maybe it's because you care Either way I get the feeling That I don't want you to stare If you want to have things your way There's nothing I can do But you would not be so happy no If you were in my shoes And you know that we could not happen 'Cause were too good to be true If the love that you felt for me Was the love that I felt for you

Music enables you to feel time, It allows you to see the movements of your mind, Like a tape being passed across the head, You can see behind, the now, and that which lies ahead. When you organise your sound, Trade smiles for your furrowed brow, Add a new dimension now, And don't ask why just ask for how. In three dimensions every pitch, Is a pile of notes all in a ditch, But let them all be tied and stitched, To beautify the universe's greatest gift. Like a grid on which all sits, Every genre owes it this: 'Without time I'd just be flat, 'Expand with me in entropy ', it answers back. Use the tools that lay at hand, Not long ago you put them down, You want for life to understand, A two way street can with Space and Time can thus be found. Modulation is the key, Don't be afraid to change beliefs, You held so close for all these years, But all they bring you now are anger pain and fear. Play yourself be natural, Invite the notes to dance with you, Drop your guard and say what's true, Lift your eyes and play a tune. If you want to map the stars, Within your mind, and soul, and heart, To find out how again to start, A bar; a phrase; a life; a plan; a dream; an art. All the laws of physics bless, Your songs with every form of strength, And roots for stories' chemistry, Provide all that your soul and spirit want and need. Don't be afraid to ask for more, For Love's a flow; it isn't stored, It can't be understood in thought, measured, counted, or reduced to nought, A frame dimension type of force, Transcending languages of course, Subordinate sonic clause, Nourishing waves of tones come through your open doors. Sing in waking sing in dreams, And sing in all the in-betweens, And if your voice your situ yeilds, Life gives not a better healer. Upon which all else since is built, Time and love so close they dwell, Used together all is well, Used in equal parts held parallel.

This is the universe And there is no rverse Just planets to traverse And spirits to converse This is the one song In which we all belong There is no right or wrong Just forces weak and strong This is our Cosmos Black holes and compost True life comes at the cost Of kind of feeling lost Accept a cosmic gift From blue and red shift Where you can take a lift And through the ether drift The macrocosm train The ticket is your Brain So you don't have to strain When Earth is inhumane There truly is no crime Exploring space and time Watch galaxies unwind Where we are one in mind The music of the spheres Will drown out all your fears The heat from all their gears Will dry out all your tears Each stage is just a lesson An infinite succession Just like the phosfluresance A nebulous possession The distances between All of us human beings Though we put up our screens From space just can't be seen music in energy matter tends to entropy And all life has its eulogy Its managed centrally Dark energy and matter come From parent black hole suns And Earth cannot outrun The Milky Way's black sun When solar dogs will bark And resonate the quarks And all those quantum sparks Down in the deepest dark Some say heat death our fate is sealed I say a quest through space will yield A snap through time is what we'd feel No Fermions in the Higgs fields and And when you're born again You'll have a brand new brain And though it seems insane Your soul is never slain This is the one song The same for every one A cosmic sing along Each voice equally strong We are all in this choir Each one is made from fire And there is no expire Your soul will just rewire

With you I felt blessed to wake Until from yours my path strayed Further from you on life's way We could not see eye to eye Patience was in short supply Grace was too, I will not lie Until then two rovers we Hoped for that which lay unseen Disregarded faults we'd seen Now I wish you the best things All I ask is that you sing Let your music be your wings Life be to you its most kind Chance bring only peace of mind Hope that manifests in truth Be all wishing brings to you May the music of your soul Stop you ever growing old Let your smile shine like gold Written and Performed by Colin Bache

If I could turn back the time I would stay right by your side I'd never let you go Or stop letting you know Of the love that you brought to my life If I could heal the shame Take back the sorrow and pain Now that I know That since letting you go I traded your sunlight for rain Now I must live with the thought That I turned my back on your love You fought hard to keep me And you asked me so sweetly And you waited for as long as you could But I kept you waiting too long Believing that my heart belonged To somebody new But I didn't know who And for them I would sing a love song If I could turn back the time I would stay right by your side I'd never let you go Or stop letting you know Of the love that you brought to my life

The Question 01:39
You thought that you had it all planned in your mind, You've found yourself here now and what do you find? Her smile makes you melt and her eyes are so kind, And you've found that you're in love with her. You're walking together to reach the same place, And when she's not looking you look at her face, And you see the girl and you give up the chase, And you smile because she's smiling too. In a full room, It's just her and you, And the question, If she feels this way too. How should you ask her should you tell her at all, And if you would kiss her would you look a fool? Maybe it's best you say nothing at all, And just put her on your pedestal.

It was the scent of her clothing That made him realise That she'd be his world for The rest of his life From then on when he held her In the front of his mind Was the scent of his lover Every time She made him feel new And took all his fears Till the big c took her After 52 years He is still smiling For her he still sees Each night he meets her In all of his dreams Now the price he is paying For the joy she gave He'll be ladened with this debt Till he's too in the grave And the wedding ring remains With their life long oath And he keeps their house tidy And still smells her clothes Now her smell's fading Her clothes just remain So he takes them to the charity For they hold too much pain Puts them down on the counter The end of her book Do you have use for these flower? And smells them once for luck The lady at the counter Welcomes him and smiles And asks him with kindness The story of his life And the man there then tells her That for 31 years She stood by my side Through the joy and the tears She made me feel new In every day Had the fortune to love her Every step of the way But last chapters' read now 'Least the book of this life Now I feel terrified To not have my wife And her clothes they now hang there On a rail in that shop 'Till a young woman buys A lovely pale blue top And she wears it to dinner With a good man and then At the end of the evening It happens again The pale blue top Its story's covered up The scent of its wearer Makes another fall in love They'll never know the meaning Of her colour that night That made them fall in love And stay in love for life.

Every day I look towards the sea And in my heart I dream that I am free The sun comes up another day is here I close my eyes and dream that you are here So many memories are running through my mind With everything I see So many good and bad things I have left behind One day I will be free I must forget about this lovely place If I'm to wear a smile upon my face I wish that I were here another day Then I could find the will to get away So many memories are running through my mind With everything I see So many good and bad things I have left behind One day I will be free With all the strength I have inside my soul I'll keep this dream alive 'till I grow old Until the day will come for me to die I must believe my soul with never die So many memories are running through my mind With everything I see So many good and bad things I have left behind One day I will be free Every day I look towards the sea And in my heart I dream that I am free The sun comes up another day is here I close my eyes and dream that you are here

Every day must die That's how it all goes by The sun does not go down It all just goes around So go and find your peace Something that can release Just like the morning sun Your life has just begun You still have so much time Although the end of the line Comes sooner than you think So you should raise your drink To friends you've travelled with You must always forgive For no one's always right Don't let this out of sight No one is beyond hope Before you fetch the rope Have the grace to choose To walk life in their shoes The healing that you seek Is so within your reach Just turn to face the sun That shines on every one Find comfort in your pain That we all feel the same And let the tears you shed Remind you you're not dead Have faith in all your dreams That's how it's all conceived Teach children to be brave That's how the road gets paved.

Winter 02:21
In Winter's eerie eyes we stared The table where we sat lay bare For sleep we searched in ice cold beds But streams of snow ran through our heads The wood we burned then so the will The ashes on the cold iron grill Finding all we had to burn The books we loved and from them learned When something moved out on the snow No more an omen could we know A rabbit slowly stopped and died Where it lay lifeless on its side When dusk mid afternoon sets in Our hats strapped tight under our chins Fists are clenched upon our necks Wet clothes always itch and vex Winter came at such a cost Our smiles were gone our hearts were lost The price it was too great a toll But spared us growing grey and old Written and Performed by Colin Bache

about

2020 has given writers much to see, hear, feel, create, but I'd like to think this album is more than just a trite narrative from my perspective. 2020 was for many a golden opportunity to create and augment to things that were always in the background waiting for their turn: a reorganising of priorities.
